A New Year Promise (and a Cold Week Ahead)

A New Year Resolution From Us to You
As we step into 2026, we want to start the year a little differently.
Our New Year’s resolution as a company is simple: to keep improving and to let our customers hold us accountable.
If there’s anything you think we could do better this year communication, booking, service, follow-ups we genuinely want to hear it. Your feedback helps shape how Yorkshire Green Heating grows, and we take it seriously.
You can reply to this email, message us on WhatsApp, or mention it next time we’re in your home.

A Cold Snap Is Coming This Week
A heads-up as we head into January:
From Friday through to early next week, temperatures are expected to drop sharply overnight lows of -3°C to -4°C, with daytime highs only reaching 1–2°C.
There may be a brief lift mid-week, but further cold snaps are likely through winter.
Now is a good time to make sure your heating system is ready either before or just after the coldest days, when small issues tend to show up.
Quick Winter Tip: Frozen Condensate Pipes
If your boiler suddenly stops working during freezing weather, one common cause is a frozen condensate pipe.
This is usually the small white pipe outside.
If it’s not an insulated 32mm pipe, it’s more prone to freezing.
What to do:
Boil the kettle
Carefully pour warm (not boiling) water over the frozen section
This usually clears the blockage and allows the boiler to reset
If you’re unsure, or the issue keeps happening, get in touch and we’ll advise.
Looking Ahead
Winter isn’t finished yet and we’re here to help you through it.
Thank you for trusting us with your home, and for helping us become better at what we do.
Here’s to a steady, warm, well-looked-after start to 2026.
Warm regards,
The Yorkshire Green Heating Team
